The Seine River in the Creek Bend community suddenly dropped in height on Thursday. A large breach in the nearby beaver dam resulted in water levels dropping by over a foot in only hours. For some local homeowners this was a good thing. A rural Creek Bend resident has already ordered sandbags from the City to protect their house as the river approaches it. Parts of the local Creek Bend Park gravel trail are now underwater. A large beaver, waiting for me to leave the area, swam in anxious circles as I took photos. Beavers cannot stand the sound of rushing water. This certainly won’t end well.
